What to expect when you begin care here...

Knowing what to expect when you begin care will help you understand what we are doing and why. We have found that the more a person understands about the process, the better the results. What follows is a brief overview of what will happen on your first office visit.

Patient Forms
Upon entering our office , you will be greeted and welcomed as a member of our family.  We will request you fill out our patient forms along with form specified by your insurance company.  The paperwork provides us with general information about yourself and your condition.

Consultation
Next you will have a consultation with Dr. Aleksander Chung to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, as well as potential treatment options. Your first visit is designed for Dr. Chung to learn more about you, your condition and your expectations to determine whether chiropractic care will you meet your goals, concerns and needs.

Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Chung will perform a complete chiropractic examination including standard neurological, orthopedic, postural, muscle and physical examinations.

X-Ray Studies
Based on the findings of your consultation and examination, your specific condition may require us to obtain x-rays. Our office is equipped with the state-of-art digital X-Ray machine. X-ray images help rule out more serious conditions as well as enable us to view your spine from a mechanical stand point.  

Report of Findings 
Once all the information and examinations have been performed, Dr. Chung will give you a report of findings to answer the following questions:

1. Whats wrong?
2. Can Chiropractic help?
3. How long will it take?

Treatment
Once all the proper findings are gathered and the patient is informed of his/her options, treatments can begin.  The treatments may include spinal adjustments, soft tissue therapy (ART, muscle stretching and strengthening) and physiotherapies such as ice and electrical muscle stimulation to reduce swelling and inflammation of the affected areas.
